Keep track of your electricity consumption with My Home
We are continually developing My Home.
New functions
My Home is expanding with the addition of a heating module, where you can calculate how much money you spend on heating; an archive for storing and managing documents, memos and pictures; the option to install furniture on your floorplan; and finally the option to view the times when power production releases the least CO2 during the day or night.
Heating section
You’ll soon be able to add heating installations to your floorplan in My Home, in the same way as for electrical appliances. You provide information on how much energy you use for heating and My Home then works out how much heat you use compared with homes similar to yours.
Subsequently, you can provide more information on your heating installations. My Home then calculates the net amount of heat you actually obtain from your installations, and therefore how efficient they are. My Home can now tell you how your home compares with similar homes in terms of net heat supplied.
You can also input your own readings and view your consumption in graph form, giving you an overview of both your heat consumption and your potential savings.
Archive
The archive is the place to manage all your personal documents. You can upload pictures, bills and receipts, floorplans and much more. You can also store details of the companies you deal with so you can easily find them again.
You can send your files and attach a personal ID card with as much or as little information as you like. This is particularly smart if you want to ask your local painter to give you an estimate for repainting your lounge for example. You simply take a screen dump of your floorplan, complete with furniture and photos, and send it to him.
Know your carbon footprint
Every time you use 1 kWh of power, you discharge on average ½ kg of CO2. But this is only an average because CO2 emissions from electricity can vary hour by hour in the course of the day or year. These variations depend on weather patterns and how much power is used at different times of the day and night.
My Home lets you see when power is greenest, and when most CO2 is released. This helps you to protect the environment as much as possible.
Other new functions
You can now also decorate your home with furniture and plants so your floorplan becomes more realistic and looks like your home.
The floorplan module can offer you a demo home similar to your own home. You can add to the demo floorplan if you don’t want to start a new plan from scratch.
Any comments about My Homeω

If you stumble across a fault
My Home is under continual development so therefore you may be unlucky to come across a fault along the way. If this happens we would be happy to receive a report to give us an opportunity to rectify the problem.
You can still
- Get information about your home from Danish public registers.
- Find alternative electricity companies which can offer you cheaper electricity.
- Draw a model of your home and add appliances. You can see where you use power, which appliances use the most power, and where you should intervene if you want to reduce your consumption.
- Input your own readings and manage your electricity consumption with the help of 2 charts showing your daily and weekly consumption.
- Order data from remotely read electricity, and now heat, meters. This function allows you to track your consumption over time.
- Manage your home intelligently.
- Set up an alarm so you can receive a message if your consumption rises or falls significantly (remote metering is required for this function).
