The Trust’s Purchasing Guidelines
The Trust’s Purchasing Guidelines can be used to find energy efficient products – saving lots of money in electricity bills over the lifetime of the equipment.
The Trust has calculated that the Danish public sector can reduce its electricity bill by EUR 94 million a year by purchasing energy efficiently. The guidelines lay down specific purchasing requirements that purchasers can use when buying electrical equipment.
All Danish government institutions have to comply with the purchasing requirements laid down in the guidelines following the 2005 ‘Circular on improving energy efficiency in government institutions’.
