Curve Breaker Agreements
The Trust offers Curve Breaker Agreements to Danish local and regional authorities, and government institutions. The aim of the agreements is to reverse the energy consumption trend by setting fixed targets for how to achieve savings.
The idea behind these agreements is to save millions of Danish kroner worth of electricity and heat, as well as providing a greener profile to the organisations making the efforts.
As part of the agreement, organisations benefit from a range of tools to help them fulfil their targets. These cover user behaviour, purchasing and operations.
Here's what to do
Organisations wishing to become Curve Breakers should ring the Trust's Customer Service Centre on +45 70 26 90 09. Customer Service will allocate a coach, who will ring back as soon as possible.
The coach will ask a number of different questions to get an idea of your current initiatives on the energy front. The coach will then arrange a start-up meeting to set the process in motion. The coach will also discuss what would be suitable to include in the start-up meeting.
Before the meeting, it would be a good idea to consider or clarify the following:
- What is your current annual consumption of electricity and heat?
- What your current annual electricity consumption is?
Your coach can send you a draft of a Curve Breaker Agreement, so you can see how an agreement is laid out. The coach will also send you different material , and can refer you to relevant sections of the Trust's website, which you can look at before the start-up meeting.
