Break the electricity consumption curve
Organisations signing a Curve Breaker Agreement with the Trust set themselves a fixed target for saving electricity, and get help to achieve it.
The Trust offers Curve Breaker Agreements to Danish local and regional authorities, government institutions and large office-based companies with the aim of reversing the upward trend in their electricity consumption by setting fixed savings targets.
The purpose of these agreements is to save millions of Danish kroner worth of electricity as well as providing a greener profile to the organisations making the efforts.
As part of the agreement, organisations benefit from a range of tools to help them fulfil their targets. These cover user behaviour, purchasing and operations.
Here's what to do
Organisations wishing to become Curve Breakers just need to ring the Trust's Customer Advice service on +45 70 26 90 09. Customer Advice will allocate a coach, who will ring back as soon as possible.
The coach will ask a number of different questions to get an idea of your current efforts in the energy area, The coach will then take the initiative to arrange a start-up meeting to set the process in motion. The coach will also discuss what would be suitable to include in the start-up meeting.
Before the meeting, it would be a good idea to consider or clarify the following:
- How big your savings should be as a percentage or in kWh?
- What your current annual electricity consumption is?
Your coach can send you a draft of a Curve Breaker Agreement, so you can see how an agreement is laid out. The coach will also send you different material , and can refer you to relevant sections of the Trust's website, which you can look at before the start-up meeting.
