The Trust’s tools
The Trust has developed tools to make it easy for you to calculate electricity savings from replacing the lighting and also to set the replacement process in motion.
It can be difficult to work out how much you can save from replacing your lighting system, and it can be hard to organise a tender for the installation of the new lighting. This is why the Trust has developed different tools to make the process easier.
The tools are:
- A spreadsheet that you can use to calculate possible savings by replacing the lighting system in classrooms.
- A spreadsheet that makes it easy for you to diagnose your current lighting system.
- A template for preparing tenders for the lighting system and the installation process.
- Demonstration rooms where lighting has been refurbished. View the electricity consumption and the savings. You can also visit the rooms.
- Information on the cost of different light fittings and installation costs for all completed refurbishments of lighting systems.
