Why wireless communication?
Wireless communication helps you to control your electricity consumption, so that you can save without compromising on comfort. Wireless communication in companies is ideal when you want to switch computers on and off, control the heating or dim the lights. But it can also be used to keep an eye on your premises and can, for example, trigger an alarm in the event of break-in, alert you to damp, or tell you if your electricity consumption becomes inexplicably high.

Wireless communication offers great flexibility when it comes to positioning measuring equipment and sensors, and also gives more general mobile control of the company premises.
Master and slaves
Wireless communication is based on:
- a local master (one unit), which controls the communication
- a number of slaves, which supply measurement data or provide orders such as switch on and switch off
The Energy Saving Label ensures that units can communicate
When choosing wireless equipment, look for the Energy Saving Label. Devices featuring the ‘Wireless device’ Energy Saving Label use a common standard so that they can always communicate. This does not necessarily apply to products which are not endorsed by the label.
A common standard means a larger selection, greater choice and lower prices. A common standard makes it easier for new products to enter the market. Read more about the common standard.
The idea is that you will be able to combine different products and gradually expand the system as new products become available on the market.
