On/Off timers – a quick solution to reduce standby consumption
Fit simple On/Off timers and save standby consumption at times when appliances are hardly used, for example at night.
Switch on appliances when you need them
A lot of appliances and equipment are only ever used at particular times. By plugging them into On/Off timers you won’t have to bother about switching your devices on and off, and in many situations you’ll avoid unnecessary standby consumption.
Areas where you can use On/Off timers include:
- Devices with a power supply
- Printers
- Ventilation

If equipment, e.g. a printer, is connected locally to a computer, you can be an advantage to fit an AutoPowerOff plug bank, which switches everything off when the computer is turned off.
