Advanced metering of electricity used by appliances
SparOmeter with data port is a precision electricity meter which measures the power consumption of appliances. The readings can then be transferred to a computer. Please note that this version of the SparOmeter is no longer produced.
SparOmeter with data port
This SparOmeter is an upgraded version of the standard SparOmeter. The Trust has developed software to transfer the data from the SparOmeter with data port to a computer, making it possible to analyse the information collected by the meter.
Takes readings automatically
Once set up, the SparOmeter can measure the electricity consumption of appliances over a period of up to 2 years. The unit automatically takes regular readings – ranging from once a minute to once an hour. All the readings are saved and can then be transferred to a computer.
How to use the SparOmeter with data port
- Set the metering period. The metering period is the time during which the SparOmeter measures the current. The factory default period is 24 hours, after which metering stops. The metering period can be set as required.
- Set the metering interval. The SparOmeter automatically takes regular readings, which are saved in the internal memory. The first metering operation stops when the memory is full. The metering interval can be set to between 1 and 60 minutes.

Installation of the software on a computer
You need to install a program on your computer if you want to transfer data to your computer and to websites. You can download the instruction manual and the program below (only in Danish):
