Save power by switching to A-rated circulator pumps

The Trust's campaign to persuade Danish households to switch to A-rated circulator pumps has had an enormous impact. A-rated pumps now account for 2 in every 3 circulator pumps sold. But the Trust is not stopping there. Now the campaign is running again to make it 3 out 3.

Home owners say "A"
The Trust's campaign to persuade home owners to replace their older power-guzzling circulator pump with an A-rated pump has worked. Today, most consumers and installers say "A" when the time comes to replace a circulator pump. When the campaign started in 2006 only 15% of pumps were A-rated. Now the figure has climbed to 66%.

The campaign will be running again in weeks 40 and 41. If you have already replaced your circulator pump then this is the ideal time to check the pump before the heating season starts in earnest.

Eliminate 5/6 of the power consumption
The Trust can help you decide whether your circulator pump is one of the nearly 800,000 pumps which use far too much power. In fact, an older circulator pump accounts for up to 10% of a household's power usage.

An A-rated pump eliminates 5/6 of the power consumption, and can save a family EUR 27-120 per year.
