The Energy Saving Label defines requirements for energy efficiency
The product overview of power supplies is the place to find products recommended by the Trust which are allowed to use the Energy Saving Label.
Requirements for power supplies
In order to qualify for the Energy Saving Label a power supply should comply with Energy Star requirements for energy efficient power supplies. Internal power supplies for desktop computers should comply with Energy Star requirements for energy efficient computers.
Producers should submit product data showing that their products conform to the requirements.
Ongoing quality control
The Trust carries out random tests to check that recommended power supplies comply with the requirements. Power supplies are tested by the Danish Technological Institute according to Energy Star test methods. If the results show that a power supply does not fulfil the requirements it is removed from the product overview and the test results publicised.
