The Energy Saving Label defines requirements for energy efficiency

The product overview of tumble dryers is the place to find products recommended by the Trust which are allowed to use the Energy Saving Label.

Requirements for tumble dryers
In order to qualify for the Energy Saving Label a tumble dryer should be A-labelled per the EU’s mandatory energy labelling scheme. In addition, the producer must vouch that the product conforms to the energy class stated and that all stores may use the Energy Saving Label on the tumble dryer.

Ongoing quality control
The Trust carries out random tests to check that recommended tumble dryers comply with the requirements. Tumble dryers are tested by the Danish Technological Institute. If the results show that a tumble dryer does not fulfil the requirements it is removed from the list and the test results publicised.
