Ventilation systems create comfortable and healthy indoor climates, but use more electricity
A ventilation system with heat recirculation saves both heat and energy and creates a comfortable indoor climate with the right balance of dry and healthy air.
Ventilation system technology
A mechanical ventilation system blows fresh air into the rooms of a house through ducts and blower openings. Air is extracted from the rooms through separate outlets. A mechanical system offers the best control and adjustment options as well as the possibility for heat recirculation. However, this results in slightly higher energy consumption.
3 good tips when buying a ventilation system
- Make sure that the building is as draughtproof and well insulated as possible so that the ventilation system handles all the air changes.
- Buy a ventilation system that recycles the most heat and uses the least possible electricity.
- Follow the user instructions. For example, remember to replace the filter in the system once a year.
