The Energy Saving Label defines requirements for energy efficiency
The product overview of fridges is the place to find products recommended by the Trust which are allowed to use the Energy Saving Label.
Requirements for fridges
In order to qualify for the Energy Saving Label a fridge should be energy class A+ or A++. In addition, the producer must vouch that the product conforms to the energy class stated and that all stores may use the Energy Saving Label on the fridge.
Ongoing quality control
The Trust carries out random tests to check that recommended fridges comply with the requirements. Fridges are tested by the Danish Technological Institute. If the results show that a fridge does not fulfil the requirements it is removed from the list and the test results publicised.
