Why can’t I find prices for electric hobs and cooker hoods?
The Trust's product overviews only provide information on A-labelled (or better) appliances. Electric hobs and cooker hoods are not covered by the energy labelling scheme, which is why these products are not listed on the product overviews. Back to top

Why can’t I find prices for gas cookers?
The Trust's product overviews only provide information on A-labelled (or better) appliances. Gas cookers, by definition, are not covered by the energy labelling scheme, which is why these products are not listed on the product overviews.
Unfortunately, although gas cookers with electric ovens are covered by the energy labelling scheme, we currently have no data on these appliances, which is why they are not listed on the product overviews. Back to top

Why can’t I find prices for microwave ovens?
The Trust's product overviews only provide information on A-labelled (or better) appliances. Microwave ovens are not covered by the energy labelling scheme, which is why these products are not listed on the product overviews. Back to top

Why aren’t there more tumble dryers?
The Trust's product overviews only provide information on A-labelled (or better) appliances. The tumble dryers shown are the only ones on the market that are A-labelled.
To qualify as A-labelled, tumble dryers need to have a particularly energy efficient heating system. This makes A-labelled tumble dryers considerably more expensive. However, since the start of 2008, prices have reduced considerably which has led to increased demand for them.  Back to top

Can you provide me with a quotation for a particular appliance?
The Trust is not able to make an actual offer. Check the prices shown on the list and contact one of the stockists shown for further information. Back to top

Why can’t I find A+ and A++ washing machines?
The reason is that these 2 labels, A+ and A++, can only be used on fridges and freezers and not on washing machines. You should look for AAA in wash class, spin class and energy class, or check whether the machine has the Trust’s Energy Saving Label. This ensures that the washing machine is one of the most energy efficient on the market. Back to top

Where can I find information on condenser tumble dryers?
You can read about condenser dryers under Tumble dryers. Back to top
Where can I find out about the threshold between A and A+ labelled products?
In Denmark, the Danish Energy Agency’s website is the place to find masses of good information about energy labelling of large appliances. You can also read about the thresholds between the different energy labels (A-G) for individual appliances. See Energimærkningsbekendtgørelserne (in Danish only). Back to top

What is the provenance of the product list?
Information on the product lists is provided by the Danish electricity companies’ ELDA product database.

Everyone can supply price information free of charge
Stores selling large appliances can, moreover, supply price information free of charge to the Trust’s website. Stores input the information themselves onto the pages via the Internet.

The Trust collects price information
The Trust also collects price information from stores that do not input prices directly onto the system. We do this by ringing selected stores for the latest prices on A-labelled appliances. Prices are shown for six weeks, but shops can always update them as necessary.

If a shop does not want to display the price of an appliance which it sells, this will be highlighted on the Trust’s price overview.

All prices are in DKK and include Danish VAT. Delivery is extra.
